Nikos Sakkas

Νikos’ practice area covers criminal law, civil litigation and administrative proceedings. Nikos is an active member of the Hellenic Society of Criminology; he has dealt, among others, with white collar cases and has represented business owners in complex commercial and administrative litigation before Greek civil and administrative courts. In addition, Nikos has practical experience in business debt settlement and real estate law. At the academic level he has been involved in criminal law and financial crime.

He speaks Greek and English.

Breach of syndicated loan and bond deals

The Firm advises a leading financial institution, in relation to disputes arising from breach of covenants of bond and syndicated loans, in particular dealing with distressed borrowers and borrowers who have sought relief under the bankruptcy protection and debt restructuring legislation.

Pro Bono Cases

The Firm is engaged in pro bono cases regarding individuals in financial distress. These cases are carefully handled and filed before the national Courts in order to provide the individuals with the proper bankruptcy assistance and the means to manage with the long term financial and legal consequences of their debts. The Firm is also currently conducting the submission of the petition of an individual in financial distress before the national County Court along with inheritance related issues regarding the debts and constant communication with the credit institutions involved.
